A Battle and I Won

On Friday when I picked Mady and Mary-Kate up from daycare, Mady's teacher said she had a fever. I got her home and checked and it was 99. I figured she was getting teeth. She was fine all day Saturday. At 3 AM Sunday morning, everything changed. She had a fever of 103. I got it down some, but once the meds wore off it was back. We went to the doctor. MK had a sinus infection. Mady was diagnosed with tonsillitis. That is unheard of in a child her age. Well, in the office her fever was 104. Their pediatrician told me what to do to get it down, changing some dosages and interchanging two different fever reducers. I did it and it went down for 8 hours. She got chills. Turned purple. Scared me to death. Then the fever came back. The antibiotics and Baby Advil is working today. She is much much better. She got on a lot of prayer chains too. He is the Great Physician.

Poor thing!! I would be totally freaking out if my baby turned blue!! I hope that medicine begins to work and she feels better soon! Stay warm!

How scary!!! So glad they are feeling better. Maddie just had a sinus infection... I thought THAT was kind of unusual for a 3 year old. Maybe not?
