Spring Break!

I am so glad we have spring break this week! We have nothing scheduled to do and it is wonderful. Today I took the girls and some friends of ours to Wye Mountain. Usually the daffodils are in bloom and it is gorgeous for picture back drops. The flowers were all wilted, but it didn't spoil our fun! Take a look...

This one turned out to sweet!

Sweet girl!

This is the best shot I got of them. They took off in opposite directions. Just like their personalities!

This looks like a cover of a book! Too funny!

6 years old

My little girl turned 6 years old this week! We are so crazy about this girl! She is sweet, kind, good, smart, clever, energetic, imaginative, and much more! In the car she will say, "Can I be your radio?" She just loves to sing. Mary-Kate is a fabulous big sister. Although, sometimes she really wants to be alone. Breaks little sister's heart. But I understand. She had 4 years by herself.

She wanted to have a Barbie birthday cake. Well, I posted how that turned out. So Walmart made that cake for me on her birthday. For her party though we had cupcakes. I found the cutest place on Etsy that made vintage Barbie things for parties. I got vintage Barbie heads for the cupcakes. I even had cookies made with vintage Barbie heads on them. I put them in little sacks topped with a "Mary-Kate is 6 years old sign." It was fun and she loved it.

Actually on her birthday. Her teacher made this hat and had her wear it all day!

This cake is way better than the one I made!

Thanks for stopping by!

Zoo

We took the girls to the Little Rock Zoo. It has really been updated since I was there a few years ago. We really had a good time. MK had the best time posing next to the animals statues. Mady had a good time too. She wanted to walk and not be in a stroller. (You remember when they were like that.) Well she saw a lion and started roaring at it. It was the closest I have ever been to one. There was a hedge that they peeked through to see this lion through the fence. I couldn't believe she was roaring at it. This lion was 5 feet from us, if that. All of the animals were out today. It was just a nice day. A little windy, but perfect for them.

We are fierce, I tell you!

The lion was this close!

Here they are peeking at the lion through the hedge.

I told you she liked these statues
This girl will be 6 next week! CANNOT BELIEVE IT!
