One Month

Take One
Take Two

Take Three

I have seen some precious Mommy bloggers post monthly pictures of their little ones. Here is my attempt to be cute like that. Mady has some cute outfits. In light of her turning a month old I chose this onesie. It is not exactly cute, but significant. I met her daddy at this school ten years ago.

Mady loves bath time now!
She doesn't like to swing as much.
She hollers until she gets her way! LOL
She loves to snuggle!
She wants to be held when she sleeps. (Yes, I know I am working on that one.)

I am working on a post to show you her pictures and how they compare to Mary-Kate's at various ages. See Mady is a red head. You can't tell in the pictures, but it is true. It is really cute. So far she still has blue eyes.

Getting to Know You, Getting to Know All About You

For all of those of who have asked, my Dad is doing great. He takes chemo in pill form 5 days a week. He goes to Conway on Tuesdays, to have a chemo treatment that takes 3 hours. The doctors and nurses have worked with him to manage his nausea levels. So far he has done really well. If he has been sick, you wouldn't know it. He has a garden, checks the cows on his 4 wheeler, and visits those he knows in the nursing home. He calls and checks on me. He also comes over to hold a baby we know. This little set back hasn't stopped him a bit.

The girls are getting to know each other better. Mary-Kate is loving her sister. Not being so jealous of her. Mady is tolerating Mary-Kate. Mary-Kate just can't help herself. She has to touch her sister on the head, arm, foot every time she walks by her.

The baby has been fussy the last two days. Today, she seems to be better. I got some much needed rest last night. 4 hours in a row is awesome. I can function the next day on that!

Just Wanted to Say "Hi."

I thought this was cute of them.

She is almost a month old!

Date Night with Daddy

Tonight was the Ball with Daddy. It was a fundraiser for a local school in town. She was so excited! Here are some pictures of their evening. There was food, dancing, and prizes. She got to meet some princesses too!

Officially One of Those Moms

I couldn't resist! MK didn't wear these in her hair when she was a baby. She couldn't stand for things to be in her hair. Madelyn doesn't mind. I bought these from ETSY's Peapod Bowtique.

Happy Anniversary

My husband and I met in graduate school. We dated 3 years before we got married. Today we celebrate are 7th wedding anniversary! We went out to eat on Saturday at Ruby Tuesdays. His parents watched the baby. MK went to a BBQ with my parents. Then we went to Hobby Lobby to buy Mary-Kate's summer supplies for her school. (For days that she wants to get away and go join her friends in fun.) I think we were gone a total of an hour. Ha! I love this man more everyday!

Love Weekends

MK loves to hold her sister.

In case you weren't sure this is Cinderella and Snow White
(There is a father\daughter ball occurring in our town next weekend. MK is so excited.)

My Mom helped me with Mady at the doctor's office.

Tummy Time

So precious!

On Wednesday I had to see my doctor to have my stitches removed so I thought. I was all taped up. I felt a little foolish because the stitches will dissolve on their own. I didn't know it though until the nurse removed the bandages to see. He checked on me anyway. I am healing great!

On Friday, I took the baby to her pediatrician. She was back up to her original birth weight. I was so glad. C-section babies lose weight and so do nursing babies at first. Since I did both of those, I was glad the baby was doing okay. Speaking of which, I am new to the nursing thing and it is hard work. Sorry for the TMI but it is the truth.

Mary-Kate is having a hard time with being a big sister. She loves her sister, but it is hard for her to not get all of the attention. She has been acting out some. We are working on it.

My dad's first treatment went well. He hasn't gotten sick. He feels pretty good actually. He is as tough as a boot though. He will have another chemo treatment on Tuesday in Conway.

Bright Spots

Love these feet! Can't wait to see where they take her.

MK loves her little sister

Sweet little face

Don't know why this one if upside down. Maybe using this one in her birth announcement.

These girls mean so much to my husband and me. Right now they are my parents' bright spots. My dad's cancer is back. I just found out. He is seeing an Oncologist in Conway. He is now taking chemo treatments. He had is first treatment today. Please pray for him and my mom. For those who have been following my blog for a while know that he had a great year this year. 2008-2009 was terrible.

MADY LOVES TO SWING

Mady has taught us a lot about herself in these first few days.

She doesn't like her diaper changed
She doesn't like bath time
She didn't want to sleep at first because she was afraid she might miss something.

LOVES TO SWING!
LOVES MARY-KATE
LOVES MOMMY
ADORES DADDY

We had a great Memorial Day. Thara's sister and husband and kids came to see the baby. Both sets of grands came to see the baby. A friend from church brought us a meal. Her daughters played with MK. It was so nice.

I had forgotten what it was like with no sleep.
I am doing okay post surgery. I have a lot of swelling in my feet and hands. I am trying to drink enough water to flush it out. Still very sore. I would totally do it again to have my little girls! My husband is the best. He is very helpful. He just beams over these two. I am really blessed.

He tells me how proud he is of me and how much he loves me!
