Mady is 10 months

This picture was taken last week by Steve Newby! He did and awesome job. Mady was 9 months technically. Yet she turned 10 months on Monday. I didn't take a 10 month picture of her yet because she just hasn't felt well. After her virus she got a rash. She has a double ear infection. Bless her heart!

She weighs 18 pounds and 2 oz. She is in #3 diapers still. She has 2 teeth. She eats baby food, but can eat some table food. She can wave bye and say something that sounds like bye, bye. She says "dada." She calls Mary-Kate something that sounds like "KK." She used to call me "Mo." You know how you think it sounds like Mama.

She is a dandy! You can take her anywhere. She just loves being with us!

Mady

Mady is still running a little fever. At 4 am it was 102. Nothing like yesterday though. MK has a low grade fever now. We are home resting.

ER

We had Mady in the ER today with 105 temp. Please pray for her. They can't find the problem. They did every kind of test imaginable. Frustrating.

Honey Do List

I had a Honey Do List a mile long for myself this spring break.

Monday
Get Car Serviced
Pedicure
Dentist Appointments for MK and Me

Tuesday
Dr. Appointment for Me
Dr. Appointment for Mady
Terminite Company to come and inspect (they called and cancelled)

Wednesday
Terminite Company came today instead of Tuesday.
Haircut for Me
Mady had her 9 months photo shoot. Precious
Now, Mady is running fever. Seriously, we were just there and she was all clear.
She has had 3 different ear infections and tonsillitis all since Jan 1.

Up with Mady all night.

Thursday
Girls are both home with me and we are relaxing and enjoying the nice weather.
Mady is not herself. I have pretty much held her all day. Very fussy.
Can I tell you what a Godsend my Mary-Kate is? Mady loves her so much. MK makes her smile when no one else can. Love that sister bond!
Sleep is very important to this Honey Do List.

I need to mow because we have more weeds than grass this year. I need to weed the flower beds. My Honey normally does all this, but he is working long hours at the store. Teenagers like spring break. Who Knew? Ha! So they need time off.

The 30 somethings like a break too.

Spring Break 2011

We have recovered from the birthday party and are now thinking about Mady's first birthday in May! We are officially on spring break. MK told everyone in her dance class that spring break means you go to Silver Dollar City. I hate to disappoint, but that isn't in the plan. I have a Honey Do list for myself that is a mile long! On Friday, I picked up the girls's spring school pictures. Their daycare and preschool does these. Take a look...the quality isn't good because I snapped a picture over the original with my broken camera.

BARNYARD FRIENDS BIRTHDAY

MK had her birthday party today at Barnyard Friends and Petting Zoo on Petit Jean Mountain. It could not have been a nicer day. It was in the 70s here. So nice to be outside.
The kids got to feed all of the animals and pet them. Because MK was the birthday girl, she got to bottle feed a baby goat! They got to ride horses. We had cupcakes and ice cream. To finish the day, with had a trolley ride in the woods. The kids had a ball and didn't want to leave. Here are a few pictures to show the good time had by all.

A Mother's Love

Mary-Kate, You are the one that made me a Mom!
Your Daddy and I love you so much!

You are a leader, not a follower. We love this about you!

You beat to your own drum. You make friends easily and are a good friend. You make sure no one is left out!

Your smile brightens up a dark day!

You love music and love dancing! You always ask me, "Mom do you wanta hear my song? Let me be your radio today."

You have tons of energy! We wish we could bottle it up for ourselves!

You are my angel girl!
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

A Birthday Girl

I cannot believe that Mary-Kate will be 5 tomorrow! She is so excited. I have been teary eyed all day. Yesterday we took her out to dinner and then for ice cream. Tomorrow we are having a family birthday party for her. She will have cupcakes at her school. Next Saturday is her party. It is a Strawberry Shortcake theme. The party is going to be on a farm. The kids will have cake and homemade ice cream. They will feed the baby animals. They will go on a trolley ride in the woods and ride little ponies. MK couldn't be more excited. I haven't ordered the cake yet (I tried) , but the place wanted me to wait. I think I am going to do a pull away cupcake in the shape of a strawberry. The store said they have discontinued Strawberry Shortcake toys for cake toppers. MK doesn't know that part yet. So, I have been busy getting ready. I will post more tomorrow.

Strawberry Shortcake

Treat Bags with pencils, candy, bubbles, chalk, and barnyard rubber ducks
MK was so surprised about this doll (Honey had been keeping/hiding her for me)

My Parents got MK a Scooter

She was so happy!
Here she is after church giving it a try (Normally I can't get her in a pair of jeans, she always wears a skirt or dress. Today she surprised me.)
I threw this one in to show her surprised face
Mady has started waving, that's why you can't see her hand
MK wore this little dress for her first Thanksgiving! I thought I better put Mady in it before the temp changes!

I can't draw straight with a ruler, but I can recognize talent when I see it. Ha! I do think the MK draws well. Right now it is her favorite thing. I realize Mady isn't ready for a sippy cup. She and another little one got moved to a step up class last week. The other babies use a sippy cup. They told me Mady was trying to swipe her friend's cup. I decided she should have her own at the table so she wouldn't want to take anyone elses. Ha!
