Merry Christmas!

Dallas

We went to Dallas not too long ago.  I didn't think I would ever be ready to step my foot back there.  My brother was tragically killed in Texas in a motorcycle accident 5 years  ago.  It hurt me so much.  That's why I initially started blogging.  I have come along way in that period of time.  My faith and trust in God is stronger than ever before.  When you have little girls and they love American Girl dolls,  it is just something you have to go and experience.  The American Girl doll store.  We didn't buy very much, but we enjoyed looking around a lot.  I love that my oldest daughter still plays and pretends. While we were in Dallas we went to the zoo and Perot Museum.  We went with long time friends of ours.  The girls had a blast together.

What a week

Our soccer game was rained out so we went to IHOP this morning.  This was a hit!  Perfect for a raining chilly morning!

Long time

It has been a long time since I have posted anything.  We are still here.  The school year is flying by.  I have a preschooler and a 2nd grader. Can't believe it!

Both girls are taking dance this year.  I can't wait for the recital.  The little ones steal the show.  You know because they can't stay together and do their own thing. Both are in Awana.  Mady is a Cubbie this year!  She loves saying her verses.  

Mary-Kate is playing soccer again!  It truly is her thing.  She is also in the Nutcracker.  The performance is in December, but they started practicing in the summer.  She is a mouse.  Ha!  She tried out for the part and got it.  Second grade is hard work.  She is doing well though.  Homework and projects.

I haven't blogged much this summer!  I was just soaking everything in.  Loved being home with my girls.  We stayed so busy.  The summer flew by. 

We are doing ok.  We survived our first year without my Dad.  We are trying out a new church.  We love it!  I love my old church, but we had to travel a bit.  This is closer to home.   MK starts all of her activities in a few weeks.  She plays soccer, takes dance, does Awana, and has begun practices for the Nutcracker.  Mady starts dance too!  Can't wait to see what she will do!  Things are about to get serious around here!  Hope you had a great start to a new school year!

The Beach

We are enjoying our time at the beach!  It is a quick trip, but we are super excited to be here!  We love building sand castles and just digging in the sand!  The girls love it here!  So glad we could bring my Mom this year!

Mady

This little angel just turned 3!  I can't believe it!  She loves jumping so we had her little party at a jump place.  She loved it! Her little expression tells it all!

Blake's Grandson

My brother has been gone almost 5 years. Those of you who have followed my blog know it was tragic.  In five years I had a new baby and lost my Dad.  It has been bittersweet!  This is a picture of Blake's

Events

Mady got a new hair do last week. She also learned how to skate. Such a big girl! MK learned to ride her bike without training wheels. We live on a busy street so I don't let her ride unless we take our bikes somewhere safe to ride. Just something we needed to get checked off the list. We attended Beauty and the Beast that our local high school put on. It was fabulous! Winding down the school year! Is it spring yet? Depends on the time of day.

PJ Day

Today @ Mady's school she participated in pajama day. She thought this was so fun! She couldn't wait to go this morning. She is getting so big!
