Barbie Cakes
Mary-Kate turns 6. She wants to have a Barbie birthday. Several of my friends suggested I make an old time Barbie cake in my Pampered Chef mixing bowl. I thought it turned out super cute. It wasn't fit to eat. Good thing I was just practicing. You must cook that thing at least an hour. No joke. I thought mine was done after 50 minutes. I even used a straw to check it. (Tooth picks wouldn't go deep enough.) MK was so cute. She said, "Mom that's ok. You can just buy my cake." LOL. On etsy, there is a shop where you can get super cute Barbie things. Click here.
Oh well!

My Girls
I realize that I am not that creative, but this turned out pretty well. On the 101 day of school it was Dalmatian day. So she had to dress in polka dots. We got a letter that said keep it simple, wear polka dots. Well we just happened to have a polka dot dress that is more like a shirt on this tall girl now. I took a pair of tights that she couldn't wear anymore and cut the feet out of them. I tied them to a headband and made her dog ears. I know it is a stretch, but my husband was so impressed with me.

Yesterday she had to write 100 words she knew, write to 100, tell what she would be like at 100 years old, and write what she would buy with $100. What she wrote was pretty hilarious! She said that when she is 100 she would wear an old shirt and eat old food and be sad that she is so old. She would spend a $100 on a music box, a cat, a ring, and earrings.
I thought she looked cute!
This was Mady yesterday. I bought she and her sister matching dresses from Round the Bend Again on Etsy! It is one of the only places I can get them matching outfits in their sizes.
Our hundredth day of school outfit and hat!

Today she had to write a story about Dalmatians. She wrote that they were strong dogs and wore collars. She said that they liked to play with toys and go on walks. Ha! Love that girl!

100 days of school
This is the in thing on Pinterest right now. My mom didn't know that. She thought this was super cute and got it for us for Christmas. I want to learn to make these. I love it!
100 days of school
Just the other day I posted the 50th day of school. It is going by so fast! This Wed. marks the 100th day of school. We had to make a hat with 100 things on it. Here it is!
On the 101st day of school, we have to dress like a dalmatian. Wish me luck with that.

Mary-Kate and Ben the Bear
Tonight was our night to have the share bag. It was really special because Ben the Bear was in the bag. He also had a binder with him. Each child that gets to have Ben over as a guest, has to write about him and place the paper in the binder. It is fun to read about all the adventures Ben has been on. All of the students will end up getting to take Ben home. Mary-Kate said she wished the Earth would stop spinning so she could have more time with Ben.

Mady is Better
Mady is doing a lot better! I am going to take her back to the doctor just to make sure her ear infection did clear up all the way.
My Dad is better too! He felt well enough to get chemo today.
Thanks so much for your prayers!

Up Date and New Problems
Mady is now on her 3rd antibiotic. We are trying to get rid of this ear infection. She seems to be ok during the day, but when she has to lay down to sleep, it is a whole other ballgame. We have been to the doctor 3 times in two weeks. Mady has lost 4 pounds since Dec. 16. That's a lot. The meds. are tearing up her stomach. The doctor said she is now at risk for an intestinal infection because of all of the medication. Please pray for little Mady. She is having a rough time. So is her Mommy. I will have to take her back at the end of this week to see if the new meds are working.
Big Sister is doing ok. She is enjoying playing with all of her new things from Christmas. She got a leapster explorer for Christmas. You can download ebooks to it. It can either read it to her or read words she isn't sure of. She has been a big help to me where Mady is concerned. She tries to entertain her and make her laugh. They are really starting to play well together. I love it!
Some how in all this, I have cracked a tooth. I get to see what my fate is for that on Monday. Hope it isn't a crown.
Please say a prayer for my Dad. He has another infection and isn't feeling well.
Thanks!
