First Haircuts and Church Easter fun!

Before Mady's Haircut

After Mady's Haircut (Just a tiny trim)

MK didn't want a picture with the Easter bunny. I think this is cute anyway.

Mady's Easter egg hunt on her playground

MK is trying to help her.
(She didn't want Mady to be disqualified because she was helping, but Mady didn't care about the hunt. MK decide to grab an egg, touch it to Mady's hand, and put it in the bucket.)

MK's turn

Mady wasn't sure if she liked this or not.

Such a nice thing for parents and kids in the community. The church members passed out pamphlets on what Easter was truly about. What a great way to tell others about our Risen Savior!

1st Annual Easter Egg Dyeing Party

This has been a crazy week. We had Kindergarten registration. MK was so excited. She thought after registering for school that she would begin the next day. That took some explaining. She had a fun Easter day at Awana. I got to teach the lesson and I loved it. Hearing little voices say, "He is not here, he has risen, just as he said, " was precious.

We had a first ever Easter Egg dyeing party with some of MK's best friends. They had a blast. They ate pizza and Easter cake. They each got to take home over a dozen eggs.

I hope you all have a Happy Easter!

Good Weekend

My Dad got excellent news this week. His cancer hasn't spread. It isn't in his bones. It hasn't spread to organs. His PSA is now at 16. (Remember it was in the 500s.) This gives lots of men hope. He has elected to continue chemo until the number hits zero. He is almost there. God answers prayer.

This is our weekend in pictures. They are a little out of order.

Happy Thursday!

Mady and Mary-Kate

These girls love each other so much. Mary-Kate is such a great big sister.
She tries to "mother" Mady. It is very cute.

Modeling

My nephew Josh works at Belk. He called to ask if Mary-Kate would be interested in modeling in Kids Fest at the store. I wasn't really sure what she would say. He told me the kids got to pick out an outfit and then after the show got to buy it 25%off. (It was already 50%off.) She decided it would be fun. I enlisted the help of my mom. She, MK, Mady, and I headed to Belk. MK picked a precious pink dress. There were a lot of kids there. (Josh made it out like they didn't have enough kids to model for them.) Anyway if I had known what a big deal it was, I would have purchased a new camera before the event for sure. When it was her turn the announcer said, " This is Mary-Kate. She loves pink. She wants to be a fire fighter when she grows up." She came down the runway very slowly. Waved a little. Posed and walked back up. After all this, they had carnival games and face painting. She had a lot of fun. The coupon also worked on all other purchases of the day. It was a lot of fun. I will post a picture of her soon. This was a great way to get parents and grandparents in the store.

Mady is so much better! Thanks for all of your sweet comments. MK is getting ready for Kindergarten registration. I am gearing up for the state assessment at school next week. We are loving the weather and spending as much time outside as we can.

I just finished two books that I would highly recommend:

1. Radical by: David Platt
2. Crazy Love by: Francis Chen

Both of these books taught me that I can do more for Christ. If you have read them, tell me what you thought about them.
