Halloween 2010

It was cold tonight! MK didn't want to wear a coat because she said it would mess up her wings. So I put Mady's leg warmers on her arms! Ha! Her friends came over and we had a pizza party before they went trick or treating together. We have gone together every year for 4 years. They had a blast this year! After walking around the neighborhood, we came home and passed out candy. My parents came over and passed out candy for us while we were gone. We
probably had 300 kids tonight stop by. It was UNREAL.

Starry Night

BOO

The girls before school this morning!

I found this at Target for Mady's room. It reminded me of MK and Mady.

Picture Day dresses

It isn't always easy to find matching dresses in 6 month to 6x. I hit the jackpot. I had dresses for them already. Then I saw the backdrop for the pics and purple and pink wouldn't work. Found these last minute!

An Amazing Time

We are having an amazing time as a family of four! We are excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas Break. AS a working mother, I can't wait for some time off to be with my girls. Our week consists of work, school, Awana, dance, Women's bible study, church and more. Sometimes I only have time to read people's blogs, but not write on my own.

Both girls are growing so fast. I am working with Mary-Kate on Hooked On Phonics. She is learning a lot at school, but I like working with her too. She loves to draw, count, and "read" to Mady. She is constantly singing and smiling. She is a drama queen. She went to her first play last weekend and didn't say a word. She makes our house come alive.

Mady is rolling over and smiling a lot. She is really laid back. This is good because MK isn't. MK can get Mady laughing out loud! She has also taught her to spit. Got to work on that. The only time Mady gets mad is when she can't get her thumb just right in her mouth. I have tried to keep her thumb out of there, but it is a 24/7 job I tell you. She loves grabbing objects and hair. Those quiet ones you have to watch out for. Ha!

I bought these at the Mistletoe Market!

This picture is much clearer!

Can't believe we are here now, compared to...

Have a great weekend!

BARNYARD FRIENDS

MK loved feeding the animals.

I had a shadow. This little deer was so sweet.

MK wanted me to ride a horse with her. I haven't done this in 25 years.

Daddy came along too!

Of all of the animals, these were her favorite.

Mary-Kate had a field trip with her class to Barnyard Friends & Petting Zoo. Her daddy & I both went with her.

I am so late posting this. Here's my girl...

She is truly a little sweetheart!

Look who stopped by today to see us.

And Honey got to play with MK

Today was a beautiful day! I got a hair cut. I went shopping for myself. I don't do that often. I still am carrying baby weight. So hard to shed. If I have a little extra time in my day, I would rather sleep than exercise. It's terrible, but that's where I am. I am even doing the Biggest Loser at my school. I could so win this, if I had more time to exercise.

MK, my Mom, and I went to Mistletoe Market today. You pay a cover charge at the door and the proceeds go to our local boys and girls club. Local businesses are there selling their products, which is quite a bit of Christmas stuff. I bought Mady some baby things that I will post soon, when they are finished. One of my former students was there. She has a crochet business. She is making Mady a pumpkin hat. It was a lot of fun getting out for a little bit.

Mady went to Lowe's with Daddy so that we could shop. She was smiling when we walked in. He must have been a fun babysitter.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

MADY IS 4 MONTHS OLD

I cannot believe that Mady is 4 months old. I am late putting up her picture. She had shots this week and has been a little fussy. She did great though. She weighs 12 pounds 13 oz. She is a little thing, but is 25 inches long. She has grown 5 inches since birth. Her doctor said she is growing and doing very well. He said sometimes those breastfed babies are a little leaner. (MK was not nursed much and weighed almost 16 pounds at 4 months.) We can start solids. I actually had already started giving her a little cereal on a spoon because at dinner time if I am holding her, she grabs my plate and already tries to take my food. Ha! Since, she has done fine with cereal, I tried green beans today. The child loved it so much she grabbed the spoon right out of my hand to stuff it in her mouth. I wasn't fast enough for her I guess. Here are her pictures of the first taste of green beans.

That expression says it all.

She takes the spoon away from me.

The girl is serious about her green beans

We had to have a bath after this, I forgot how messy this is. It was so fun!
