I have enjoyed this Christmas break so much! Love spending time with my husband and little girls. My big girl will be 8 soon. I can't believe it.
Both girls are taking dance this year. My baby girl loves it! Tap is her favorite. MK played soccer again. She loves it. She is a tough little player too. I wouldn't want to play against her. Mady is so good to go to all of the practices and games.
MK was in the Nutcracker this year. She was a mouse. They had tryouts last spring. She had been practicing since this summer. They had a little boot camp. When she started practicing on Sunday afternoons we started attending a church close to home. I love my little country church I grew up in. I love the people. I needed to get her involved with other kids. She needed Sunday. At this church we have jumped right in and gotten very involved. We love it. It is different from what we are used to. It is so amazing. You feel the Holy Spirit as soon as you walk in. The children sang Joy to the World one Sunday in sign language. I was so touched. One of MK's best friends is deaf. She signs to her all the time. Her song was beautiful!
OK back to the Nutcracker. She got to perform 5 times in Dec. We were super busy. She loved it! During the week of rehearsals she had her 2nd grade musical. She had a solo. I am seeing a pattern here. Ha! Mady loved watching the Nutcracker. We had it worked out that she didn't have to go to all the shows. She wanted to and sat through 3 of them. She told me she was going to be an angel in the Nutcracker next time.
You can see why Christmas break was a much needed time to rest and reflect.
Hope you all have a fantastic New Year!
