Happy Birthday to Papa today!
I like this one because you can really see her face. Doesn't look like MK's baby pictures at all.
Yep, she can sit and hold her head up. My babies are strong like that.
I have been working on Mady's baby book and catching Mary-Kate's up. I scrap book. I have scrap booked every year of Mary-Kate's life. That doesn't mean that I am good at it. I just like it. I kept all of her school papers this year in a portfolio. I have her artwork all over the house. To think that I need to do the same for Mady is overwhelming . I haven't to me right now. I haven't videoed much of Mady. It is a shame because I have a ton on video of MK. When chasing after 2 it is amazing where the time goes. One thing I have done consistently is journal. My sister in law kept a journal of Mallory (my niece's life from birth to 18.) She presented it to her when she graduated from high school. I thought to myself what a neat thing to do. I have been doing this for Mary-Kate all along. Now I have started Mady's journal too. It is fun to go back and read things. So much I had forgotten. Whether you blog, face book, scrap book, or journal, I think it is important to document what is going on in your life. It is sure fun to look back and enjoy the memories. I love listening to the older people in my church tell stories of the good ole days. What's your story? Make some good memories today.

Sweet photos!! I started journals for both of my boys, I WISH I had kept up with it. I have wished that a lot over the past several years now that my kids are grown and so many memories seem SO distant and vague. I hope you can keep up with it... it will mean so much to you later.
I also took a lot more photos and videos of my first and not so many with my second. Another regret.
Preach it, Sista! My blog is my scrap book. I don't have the patience for the paper kind! Ha!
Love the new pic of Mady. She is getting so big already!!
I enjoy scrapbooking too! I did one of our wedding/honeymoon and intended to do one of Jacob's first year. I bought all the supplies, but then never even started. I'm TERRIBLE!!
Since I'm the 2nd (and last) child, I know what it's like to have less video or less pictures of just me without my sister, so that is one thing I'm purposely trying to do - get video and pictures of just Levi. I hope I can continue.
The journal sounds like a neat idea, however, I'm not sure I could commit to 18yrs. HA :)
p.s. love my little man, but so jealous you get to use all the foo foo hair bows :)
Your girls are beautiful. Maddy is growing so fast. Do not fret, I have not yet started Henry's book. It kills me to think about it.I have everything to do it but have a mental block...or is it mommy brain?! :)
AJL
I kept journals on both my kids...mostly just day to day stuff with a little write-up on their monthly birthday!
I copied my son's journal and gave it to him on his 21st birthday.
I getting ready to blog about a few entries I wrote in Kelly's journal because it completely mirrors what Harper is doing now!! So funny!
Mady is just darling and growin' like a weed!!!!
My mom has kept all of my school stuff too....artwork, papers, letters, etc. She has even kept some of my college stuff, ha!
I think it is so important to document things. Before I started my blog I remember thinking maybe I should just wait and start blogging once I get married/have children. Then my mom told me that my life does not start then....it's starting now. I'm so happy I listened to her because I truly enjoy blogging! I know I will enjoy looking back at my blog in the years to come and showing my kids my good ol' college days! :) I'm sure they will enjoy it just as much!
Love all your pictures!!! Your girls are precious!
