1st Battalion, 206th Field Artillery

My nephew, Josh, was honored with his field artillery battalion today. The program was entitled, "The Arkansas National Guard presents the Freedom Salute Ceremony." It was a welcome home ceremony to his group who came back from Iraq in December. The guest speaker was MG William Wofford. Governor Beebe was there to speak to the soldiers. It was very nice. I was so proud of him. My camera battery that I had charged up the night before, died, so I only got a few pictures. I'll ask his mom for the good close ups.

I feel the same way. Freedom isn't free. These guys and gals are risking their lives so that we can have freedom.

I'm glad to see they honored your nephew for protecting this GREAT country of ours.

When I'm working I always thank the men and women in uniform for serving. They are always so humble and always, always say "just doing my job maam". Gives me goosebumps.

God Bless America and God Bless your nephew!

Thanks Becky! I am so proud of him. When he was first deployed, his Dad was killed. He only had one week to be with us (for the funeral) and then he left. I worried about him the whole time because he was grieving alone.
